In June 2006, Air Arabia introduced a new reservation system, 'AccelAero' that provides multi-selling channels via the Internet, travel agencies and call centres. The innovative system was designed to facilitate flight scheduling, finance and operational functionalities and capabilities across various point-of-sale channels and was also customised to serve the business goals of a low-cost airline.
Today, 1 year after putting this system into operation, 'AccelAero' couldn't be better. Its user friendliness manual and stabilized structure makes it a unique system. Most of the staff who uses 'AccelAero' on daily basis, shared the same views: user friendly, quick, very stable and rather flexible system.
Commenting on 'AccelAero' performance, Kyle Haywood, Commercial Director at Air Arabia said: "AccelAero has been an indispensable tool for Air Arabia since its deployment. The way we do our business has been changed to the better now. The system saves us lot of time and proves to be an efficient communication tool that links various departments with in the company".
Air Arabia's numbers of sectors booked through 'AccelAero' every month now exceeds 200,000; this figure reflects how reliable this system is. 'AccelAero' has proved to be an efficient, capable system that is also used as a statistical and reporting tool. In addition it is able to handle the load of information while being low-cost oriented.
Haywood added: "The system adds value to our business by all means. The efficient approach and flexible behavior contribute to its unique identity and makes it a preferred system by our staff. The system is scaleable to the future requirements and needs and we believe that it will continue to satisfy us day after day".
